Soft Tissue Therapy for chronic and long term conditions
Soft tissue therapy can reduce symptoms from persistent pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and persistent back pain. It can also be useful in treating people who have conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Diabetes, Osteoarthritis, recovery from surgery and many others.
Initially there will be a consultation where we discuss your medical history and your expectations from the treatment. A clinical assessment will then be undertaken to check for musculoskeletal dysfunction, followed by the hands on treatment.
The treatment will be tailored to the individual depending on the condition being treated and will include general massage techniques, neuromuscular techniques (NMT), soft tissue release (STR), muscle energy techniques (MET), positional release and myofascial release.
Soft tissue therapy can help to relieve the symptoms from chronic conditions by reducing pain and improving movement in a safe and controlled environment. This should help to ease stress, anxiety and depression and improve your sleep quality.
