Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage can be used to work on the deepest layers of tissues.

Using firm pressure and slow strokes it is possible to ease chronic aches and pains.  Deep tissue massage is a great way to ease the feeling of muscle tension and treat dysfunctional areas such as a stiff neck, back pain, shoulder discomfort and limited range of movement in the hips and legs.

Deep tissue massage uses various massage techniques to leave you feeling relaxed.  Deep tissue massage releases endorphins which are the body’s own painkillers, leaving you with a sense of calm and well-being.

During the treatment the muscles will be warmed up with gentle pressures to soften the tissues and to enable you relax. Deeper and more targeted pressure will then be applied to treat muscle tension.

Deep tissue massage is a great way to treat stress and anxiety, allowing you to unplug and unwind! Deep tissue massage also works with the nervous system to help calm it down and reduce pain and discomfort.

Deep tissue massage requires the use of hands, thumbs, forearms and elbows to create the pressure required.  Deep, firm and slow strokes along the tissues help to create a senses of relaxation.

Deep tissue massage is suitable for everyone, of any age, and is excellent at treating occupational related stress and stiffness.
